Dental Exams and Cleanings

During your initial visit, we will conduct a comprehensive exam. At regular check-ups, both the dentist and hygienist will evaluate diagnostic x-rays for signs of decay, tumors, or bone loss, perform an oral cancer screening, assess gum health for periodontal disease, check for tooth decay, and examine the condition of any existing restorations, such as fillings or crowns.

Regular dental exams are crucial for maintaining oral health. Dr. Haskin and Dr. Goldstine use these exams to detect potential issues like tooth decay, gum disease, or even early signs of oral cancer before they become serious. Early detection allows for more effective and less invasive treatment, helping you maintain a healthy smile.

During a dental exam, Dr. Haskin or Dr. Goldstine will carefully examine your teeth, gums, and mouth for any signs of problems. This includes checking for tooth decay, gum disease, and evaluating existing restorations like fillings or crowns. X-rays may also be taken to get a better view of the teeth and bone structure, and an oral cancer screening is part of the process.

Dr. Haskin and Dr. Goldstine recommend scheduling a dental exam at least twice a year. Regular check-ups allow them to monitor your oral health, address any concerns early on, and keep your smile in the best condition possible. However, depending on your specific dental needs, they may suggest more frequent visits.
